Description

PSIM Vice President South Punjab, Prof. Qazi Masroor Ali, in collaboration with the Pak Development Organization, organized a free medical camp at Head Panjnath, one of the areas severely affected by recent floods. The initiative aimed to provide urgent healthcare services to those in need.

With the dedicated efforts of four doctors and ten paramedical staff members, the team successfully provided medical consultation and treatment to approximately 400 patients, including men, women, and children. The most common health issues observed were depressive neurosis, anxiety neurosis, osteoarthritis (OA), diabetes mellitus (DM), and hypertension — highlighting both the physical and psychological impact of the disaster on the affected communities.

Free medicines were distributed among patients, and health education sessions were conducted to raise awareness about hygiene, nutrition, and preventive healthcare practices. The camp’s goal was not only to offer immediate relief but also to assess ongoing health challenges faced by the flood victims and provide referrals for specialized care when needed.

This humanitarian effort was made possible through the collective commitment of the Pak Development Organization, the PSIM team, and local volunteers. Their teamwork and compassion brought much-needed relief to the flood-stricken community. The organizers reaffirmed their dedication to continuing such medical relief initiatives in other affected areas to support the health and recovery of vulnerable populations.
