Eligibility Criteria

Subject: Applications for the Fellowship of Pakistan Society of Internal Medicine (FPSIM) 2026.

6th to 8th February 2026

Those who possess a level III qualification in Internal Medicine (Mandatory Criteria) are eligible. It includes FCPS, MRCP, ABIM, MD or equivalent. In addition, they must have excelled in the discipline of Internal Medicine or General Medicine, in teaching, publication, public service, volunteerism, advocacy, and/or public service.

All current members of Pakistan Society of Internal Medicine can propose and recommend one application. The application must be supported and signed by a proposer, who must be a member of PSIM in good standing. The applications must reach the undersigned by or on 31st December 2025. Fellowships may be awarded to those who are currently non-members of PSIM.

The application must include evidence of the following: level III qualification in Internal Medicine, current and previous positions held by the applicant, bibliography of publications, evidence of outstanding contribution to the profession or public service along with a Curriculum Vitae. Those who have a minimum of 10 years’ experience following post-graduation are eligible to apply for full fellowship. All applications must be accompanied by a bank draft or pay order of PKR 25,000/- in favor of Pakistan Society of Internal Medicine.

The members are urged to proceed with the process of proposing distinguished physicians from across the country and overseas acknowledged for the conferment of the most prestigious fellowship of Pakistan. The fellowship award committee decides the applications, and if an application is not successful, the entire fee will be refunded.
