Official Statement on the Occasion of Oath-Taking Ceremony by the President, Pakistan Society of Internal Medicine
Short Summary
Prof. Aftab Mohsin, in his address as the newly sworn-in President of the Pakistan Society of Internal Medicine (PSIM), expressed gratitude and humility upon assuming office. Acknowledging the guidance of his mentor, Prof. Javed Akram, he emphasized collective dedication to advancing excellence, innovation, and collaboration within internal medicine. Prof. Mohsin outlined his strategic focus under the acronym MIRACLE, representing Mentorship, International Linkages, Research Initiative, Academy of PSIM, and Chapter & Provincial Empowerment. He reaffirmed his commitment to working with the Executive Council and members to achieve these goals and propel PSIM toward continued growth and progress.
Description
It is truly a humbling moment for me, to stand before all of you as the new President of Pakistan Society of
Internal Medicine.
It’s also a matter of great excitement and immense pleasure to be sworn in as the President. I owe my Presidency to my mentor Prof. Javed Akram,
Founding President C Chairperson Board of Directors PSIM, who has been mentoring me incessantly and shall continue
to do so.

bearer of the Pakistan Society

(PSIM) embodies the spirit and
passion that drives our collective
pursuit of excellence. Together, we
will propel PSIM to new
heights, fostering
a legacy of innovation, collaboration, and progress in the
field of internal medicine.
The five initiatives on to which I am going to focus, with help and support, from all of you, for now shall be called MIRACLE: Mentorship, International linkages, Research initiative, Academy of PSIM and
Chapter and provinciaL Empowerment
