Prof. Mahtab Jan

Dr. Mahtab Jan is a senior consultant physician with extensive clinical and academic experience in internal medicine. He is currently serving as Senior Consultant Medicine, Head of the Department of Medicine, and Supervisor of Medicine at Shaheed Saif ur Rehman Teaching Hospital, Gilgit. Dr. Jan completed his MBBS from Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad in 1999 and obtained his postgraduate training from PIMS, Islamabad. He achieved his FCPS in Medicine in 2006. His professional journey includes international experience as Consultant Internist at King Khalid Civilian Hospital, Tabuk, Saudi Arabia from 2010 to 2011. Additionally, he served for 13 years as Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist at Aga Khan Hospital, Gilgit. Dr. Jan has a strong interest in evidence-based medicine, medical education, and advancing clinical practice in resource-limited settings.
