Prof. Akhtar Sherin, MBBS, FCPS, FRCP (Glasgow), and Master in Health Research, is a distinguished medical professional with a wealth of experience in both clinical practice and academic leadership. Currently, he serves as the Professor of Medicine and Director of the Clinical Trials Unit at Khyber Medical University in Peshawar, Pakistan. Prof. Sherin's expertise extends beyond clinical care, with a strong dedication to advancing medical research and education. He holds leadership positions such as the Vice President of the Eastern Mediterranean Association of Medical Editors (EMAME) and has served as the Ex-President of the Pakistan Association of Medical Editors (PAME). Additionally, he is the Chief Editor of the Khyber Medical University Journal (KMUJ), contributing significantly to medical publication and dissemination. Prof. Sherin's active involvement in medical societies is evident through his roles as Ex-General Secretary of the Pakistan Society of Neurology (PSN) and Ex-Vice President of the Pakistan Headache Society.
